Interested in animals, policy, and making a difference for animals and people?
Join us for a live online session with MAPP program director, Dr. Allen Rutberg to learn more about the MAPP program, followed by a Q&A. This is also a good time to ask any questions you have about the application process! The upcoming application deadline for the enrollment in Fall 2026 is April 1, 2026.
M.S. in Animals and Public Policy (MAPP) is an intensive, 12-to-16-month graduate degree program that focuses on human-animal relationships and their implications for policy and community action. While students enter the program with different interests, skills, philosophies, and aspirations, all share a passion for understanding human-animal relationships and promoting the status of animals in society.
Dr. Allen Rutberg is Director of the Center for Animals and Public Policy (CAPP). He joined the Cummings School faculty in CAPP in 2000. At Cummings School, he directs the M.S. program in Animals and Public Policy, teaches classes in wildlife policy, wildlife in captivity, and policy communication, and mentors graduate and veterinary student research and internships.
